ATEME KFE is a file-based multi-format transcoder that provides high bandwidth efficiency video transmission solutions for various media forms, including television, mobile devices, and the internet. KFE enables operators to incorporate their on-demand catalogs into their rich program content by processing DVB Subtitling and Closed Captioning with multi-channel capabilities.

Interoperability
The KFE system includes ATEME's MP4/stream output multiplexer, supporting interoperability among various set-top boxes, stream servers, and handheld devices. By controlling the multiplexer, users can embed MPEG-2 and H.264 streams into any on-demand system, whether it is built on CAS systems, digital rights management systems, VOD servers, transport stream layers, or decoders like Adobe® Flash® Media Player.
