ATEME announces its absolute leadership in the digital television encoding market in Brazil.

As a leading provider of H.264/MPEG-4 video compression solutions, ATEME today announced that it has deployed over 100 high-definition terrestrial broadcast Kyrion hardware encoders in Brazil, making it the most widely deployed single brand under the Brazilian ISDBT standard.
Titan, ATEME's software transcoding product line, is also the most widely used solution for video on demand content for cable, satellite, and telecom service providers in Brazil. Its unique low-bitrate video quality makes it the preferred choice for delivering content across multiple screens.

ATEME collaborated with multi-screen video technology provider Broadpeak, digital box NETGEM to host a seminar on "Living" TV on March 5 in São Paulo, Brazil, and on March 7 in Rio de Janeiro.

This seminar addresses the challenges faced by Brazilian operators in expanding their existing IPTV services with OTT and multi-screen solutions.

According to Gustavo Mara, Application Engineering Director, "ATEME and our partners will discuss how Brazilian operators can provide high-quality content services over the internet and unmanaged services. Additionally, we will demonstrate how operators can reach a broader audience, driven by consumer expectations for original video quality."

The television lecture will be held on March 5 at the Sheraton Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, and will begin at 9 AM local time on March 7, 2012, at the Renaissance Hotel in São Paulo.
