The XC5000 & XC5100 from Norway's Abel (hereinafter referred to as XC5x00) is a modular platform with a wide range of module options, configurable as a complete front end or as a standalone solution specifically for intensive service processing applications. The integrated architecture of the SC2x00 offers outstanding reliability, while its web-based single management interface simplifies deployment and reduces routine maintenance. The drag-and-drop graphical user interface (GUI) provides an intuitive choice for service management, along with comprehensive management tools that allow for both automatic and manual configuration possibilities.
Content Collection
The high density and selective multi-program source input options of the XC5x00 make it the most efficient content collection solution. The XC5x00 can be configured as a high-density receiver, with program sources including available IP, DVB-S/S2, DVB-C, and DVB-T networks, as well as
ASI feeds, outputting as analog audio and video decoded modulated RF or FM, and can also be ASI or IP.
Decryption
Abel's high-performance multi-program decryption maximizes the utilization of the receiver, simplifying system design and deployment. For multi-program applications requiring decryption from a single source protected by a single CA system, the XC5x00 can be configured as a large-scale decryption solution.
Digital and Analog Simulcast for Cable Operators
The XC5x00 allows cable operators to eliminate the transmission of analog programs over the core network while ensuring optimized bandwidth utilization, all while maintaining full flexibility for local planning. The high-performance RF module supports A2 and NICAM stereo options and meets the demands for separate front-end processing.
Abel's architecture is built with robust recovery capabilities; the modules of the XC5x00 support hot-swapping, including power supplies and fans; its "never interrupt" redundancy solution provides complete or partial backup for various failure scenarios.

A.1 MMI Module
| Error Code | Alarm Level | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Active Switch | CRITICAL | This alarm indicates that the input redundancy controller has switched. |
| Alarm History Cleared | INFORMATION | Indicates in the alarm history log when the alarm history was clear to the user. |
| Card mismatch | CRITICAL | The card inserted into the slot does not match the card type. that is expected. If the new card is intended for the slot, Remove the card – then navigate to the about page and accept. changes (this removes the previous card history for the slot) – then reinsert the new card. |
| Card missing | CRITICAL | A previously registered module is not found in the chassis. |
| Power adapter error | MINOR | One of the two power adapters requires maintenance. |
| Time Update Failed | WARNING | Could not connect to the NTP server. |
| Unable to communicate with TWIN MMI |
CRITICAL | For the DC1000 with internal redundancy, the two MMI boards are communicating. This alarm indicates that the Communication between these two is down. |
| Unit Fan Error | CRITICAL | One or more of the fans require maintenance. |
| Unsupported version | MAJOR | The software version is not supported. |
A.2 Modulator board
| Error Code | Alarm Level | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Modulator booted with fallback FPGA |
CRITICAL | Error loading firmware. The card must be reprogrammed. |
A.3 License
| Error Code | Alarm Level | Description |
|---|---|---|
| License Violation | CRITICAL | A feature is being used without a license. |
A.4 Global PSI Alarm
| Error Code | Alarm Level | Description |
|---|---|---|
| PAT analysis temporarily disabled |
CRITICAL | The PSI analysis algorithm has detected excessive PAT frequency. changes which generally indicate a problem with the incoming PSI. |
| PAT Missing | CRITICAL | PAT is missing for the specified input ID. Raised for inputs that are used as part of the live configuration only. |
| PMT Missing | CRITICAL | PMT is missing for the specified input and service ID. Raised for services in which it is used as part of the live configuration only |
