Since the onset of the flood season in 2024, the National Radio and Television Administration has actively implemented the requirements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council regarding flood prevention and disaster relief efforts. In collaboration with the Ministry of Emergency Management, it has organized a nationwide emergency broadcasting service initiative for flood prevention and disaster relief, convened mobilization and deployment meetings, and developed and issued the "Emergency Broadcasting Service Special Action Plan for Flood Prevention and Disaster Relief." Local broadcasting departments have taken proactive measures, and emergency broadcasting has achieved significant results in its effectiveness in serving flood prevention and disaster relief.

Since the flood season began, the central region of China, south of the Yangtze River, and the southwestern areas have frequently been affected by adverse weather conditions such as heavy rainfall, strong convection, and typhoons, making the flood prevention situation increasingly severe. Eighteen provinces, including Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Hunan, Guangxi, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Gansu, and Qinghai, have utilized the established emergency broadcasting systems and the "Village Loudspeaker" system in 52 cities and districts affected by the flood. They have promptly disseminated emergency warning information and public awareness messages, effectively responding to various emergencies, evacuating affected residents in a timely manner, and preventing large-scale casualties and property losses.

Since the onset of the flood season, emergency broadcasting has played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of people's lives and property. Emergency broadcasting platforms at various levels across the country have disseminated over 20,233 emergency messages and promotional information, with a total of 144,348 broadcasts. More than 161,790 effective emergency broadcasting terminals and "Village Sound" loudspeaker terminals have accurately and efficiently conveyed emergency information to affected communities. During the flood situation, emergency broadcasting platforms at all levels have served local party committees and governments, actively participating in flood prevention and disaster relief efforts, conducting emergency broadcasts and information dissemination, and assisting in the evacuation and rescue of 50,406 individuals, thereby reducing economic losses by over 147.06 million yuan.
