Flashlink SDI-EO is a multi-bit-rate electro-optical conversion module designed to work with the SDI-EO-C1 backplane. This module can handle bit rates ranging from 19.4Mbps to 540Mbps. The onboard cable equalizer provides up to 35dB gain at 200MHz, and for 270Mbps signals, it can automatically equalize distances exceeding 300 meters when using high-quality coaxial cables. The optical output at a wavelength of 1310nm utilizes a Fabry-Perot laser diode, while the optical outputs at 1550nm and CWDM wavelengths (complying with ITU-T G.694.2 standards, from 1470 ± 6nm to 1610 ± 6nm) use DFB lasers. The optical output complies with SMPTE-297M specifications but can also provide higher output power. In addition to optical output, the SDI-EO also features two SDI outputs for local distribution amplification.
