Users can also view embedded PSIP and SI tables within the transport stream, simplifying the validation of transport data.
The device boasts numerous powerful features, including error counting, monitoring bandwidth for each program, total packet count, and empty packet count. ASI transport stream files will be recorded onto a removable CF card, which can be taken out and placed in a PC for file storage or transfer.

This PDA-sized monitoring device is designed for portability without compromising functionality and performance. To enhance user experience, the ASI-STAR features an integrated 320x240 color LCD display, allowing users to control and configure operations using touch screen technology and the included stylus. Additionally, powering on-site is no longer an issue — the ASI-STAR can draw power from a lithium-ion battery pack. The ASI-STAR is equipped with an active loop transmission stream input for receiving DVB-ASI or SMPTE 310 format transport streams. The device generates an ASI transport stream output via a BNC interface using files stored on a small memory card. Standard accessories include a sunshade, stylus, lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack, AC power adapter, serial communication cable, and a belt-mounted case.
