"TV Home" has suspended its services! Third-party TV live streaming software has collectively "fallen," is it time to say goodbye?

On November 20, the topic #TVHomeRunningAway# also trended on social media. Many users reported that the TV software "TV Home" was no longer usable, and upon opening it, a notice popped up stating, "This product has suspended services as of today."

For users with smart TVs, in addition to watching TV programs through IPTV channels provided by broadcasting or telecommunications companies, they can also watch TV programs through third-party live streaming software, with "TV Home" and "Little Eagle Live" being the most well-known.

"TV Home" is a video player specifically designed for watching live TV broadcasts. The official introduction of the software stated that it could provide online live broadcasts of over 1,600 TV channels, including CCTV, satellite TV, and local stations. The user base of this software is quite large, and many smart TV users choose to download it on their TVs to watch satellite TV live content.

However, the TV Home software has always faced copyright disputes regarding live broadcasts. The IPTV and digital television services provided by operators are legitimate ways to watch TV channels, while many software applications in the market, including TV Home, essentially provide live TV broadcasts by illegally capturing legitimate online signal sources. The annual membership fee of 49.9 yuan is relatively low, attracting many consumers; however, the practice of these third-party platforms, including TV Home, charging for capturing legitimate signal sources is not compliant.

Later, it was understood that this incident was actually unrelated to TV Home, but rather a crackdown by broadcasting authorities on TV live streaming software. As a result, other similar live streaming software, such as "Miao Kan TV" and "Cool Kan Live," are also no longer accessible, and some app stores have even removed related software. This means that we are likely saying goodbye to TV live streaming software.
