We have received your request regarding the establishment of a laboratory under the National Radio and Television Administration (Document No. Chuan Guang [2023] 95). After review, we agree to establish the "National Radio and Television Administration Laboratory for Innovation and Application of Virtual Reality Audiovisual Technology" at Sichuan Media College.
The "National Radio and Television Administration Laboratory for Innovation and Application of Virtual Reality Audiovisual Technology" will focus on the deep integration and application of virtual audiovisual technology in the fields of broadcasting, television, and online audiovisual media. Key areas of research will include naked-eye 3D virtual image production, 8K VR content shooting and production, XR virtual studio camera tracking and virtual interaction, digital virtual keying and real-time compositing, and the entire process of AI-assisted virtual audiovisual production. The aim is to promote the transformation of relevant technological achievements and innovative applications, support the construction of a large audiovisual industry ecosystem, and provide technical support for the high-quality development of broadcasting, television, and online audiovisual media.
Please strictly adhere to the provisions of the "Notice on Issuing the 'Laboratory Management Measures of the National Radio and Television Administration'" (Guangdianfa [2023] No. 41) and the "Notice on Issuing the 'Laboratory Management Rules of the National Radio and Television Administration'" (Guangdianfa [2023] No. 42) in carrying out the relevant work for laboratory supervision and management.
