NovelSat NS3000 Satellite Modem

The NS3000 modem represents a repositioning of satellite modem performance.
The design of data and VoIP applications, whether point-to-point or multipoint, is supported by the NovelSat NS3000 satellite modem, which provides 365 Mbits/sec using a transmission rate of 70 Msym/sec. The ideal scenario for satellite cellular backhaul and other data applications often lacks infrastructure and faces challenging geographical conditions that make wired connections impractical. The NS3000 integrates two modulators and demodulators into a single unit. It includes enhancements and a TCP accelerator to process IP packet flows as well as compression.

Completely technology-agnostic, the NS3000 supports all common modulation methods - DVB-S, DVB-S2, DVB - satellite news gathering, and NS3™. As the only NS3-enhanced modem on the market, the NS3000 modem offers significantly higher spectral efficiency compared to DVB-S2 modems.
The NovelSat NS3000 combines a modulator and demodulator into a single unit, offering routing capabilities, including TCP acceleration and compression for IP packet streams. For ISPs and VoIP service providers, the NS3000 delivers excellent data rates with minimal bandwidth requirements, providing reliable and cost-effective satellite data links where infrastructure is lacking and challenging geographical line connections are not feasible.

  • NovelSat's NS3™ supports data transmission rates exceeding 155 Mbps for 36 MHz forward STM1. Currently, DVB-S2 devices cannot support speeds within this range. The STM1 NovelSat modem (modulator/demodulator) solution is an ideal choice for fixed telephony or cellular telecom backup networks, oil and gas pipelines, military and government applications, as well as enterprise communications.
