By adding LiveU to its video transmission solutions, Nexion has expanded its capabilities and coverage as a video expert, providing high-quality and cost-effective video links across Japan.
Tokyo-based global video transmission pioneer Nexion Co., Ltd (Nexion) has turned to LiveU to enhance its coverage in Japan, deploying multiple LU800 mobile encoders.
Nexion provides high-quality live broadcasts of various events such as sports, music concerts, and conferences for broadcasters and media. Its domestic and international backbone fiber optic network connects dozens of broadcasters, production companies, and media to major event venues.
Although the fiber optic network coverage in the main stadium is excellent, Nexion requires a cost-effective solution. LiveU's 1U rack-mounted transmission encoder LU610 will be used for this season's women's sports events, while the portable multi-camera LU800 technology will be utilized for future men's sports competitions.
Mr. Nakajima, Deputy General Manager of the Sales Department at Nexion, explained the background of LiveU's introduction, stating: "I have been paying attention to IP bonding technology for some time and have been considering what additional value it could bring to our product portfolio. Previously, there were concerns about stability, but after closely observing LiveU's technical performance, those concerns have completely disappeared. In addition, Mr. Hamada from the technical support team at Nexion's sales headquarters emphasized the ease of use of LiveU. He stated, "Once you have it set up, you just need to turn on the power on-site, and it can be controlled from the MCR end, allowing the camera operators to focus on capturing the best content without worrying about operating LiveU."
