At the Qatar World Cup stadium, LiveU deployed the largest-ever scale of 5G/4G live broadcasting equipment to enable broadcasters from around the world to stream 4K/HD high-definition events. In particular, the LiveU cloud video platform played a crucial role by distributing live footage to fans worldwide via IP video through LiveU Matrix.
Juan Pablo Marino, the head of the technical department at Colombia's Caracol TV, recalled: "We spent a full three years planning the World Cup coverage, and LiveU has been involved from day one. The technical team participating in the live broadcast consisted of over 200 members, with more than 60 on-site in Qatar, while others collaborated remotely from Colombia. During the event, all it took was to turn on the LU800 at any stadium, and within seconds, Colombian fans could watch high-definition video. Thanks to LiveU's strong support and stable assurance, our live broadcast challenge was a success, bringing incredible surprises to the fans."
